Create projects

A project is a collection of business processes or decisions. You can create BPMN and DMN projects starting from a blank diagram, from a template or by importing a project created using other modeling software.

The number of projects you can create depends on your subscription plan.

You create projects on the Home page and in My Files.

When you create a project, the project opens in a blank diagram in a new tab of your browser.

Create a BPMN project

1. Click New.

2. Select BPMN project.

Create a DMN project

1. Click New.

2. Select DMN project.

Create a project from template

Choose from a selection of BPMN and DMN project templates as a starting point for mapping your processes.

1. Click New.

2. Select Project from template.

3. In the page that opens, select a template.

Import a project

You can import BPMN and DMN projects that have been created using other modeling software.

To create a new project from a template:

1. Click New.

2. Select Import BPMN/DMN.

3. Browse your device and select a file.

Change the project name

New projects are assigned a generic name — “BPMN Blank” or “DMN Blank”. To change the project name:

• In the header, click the project name and type the new name.
