Association
An Association connects a Text Annotation to an element in the diagram. It’s purely graphical and doesn’t affect the decision logic.
You can specify the direction of the Association: it can flow in one direction, both directions, or have no direction. Direction is indicated by an arrowhead.
An Association appears as dotted lines in the diagram.
Attributes
You’ll find Association attributes within the Attributes panel, under the Attributes tab.
